A major part of Save Venice’s effort is led by Young Friends of Save Venice, whose mission is to introduce young supporters to Venice’s artistic patrimony and to instill in them the desire to help preserve her treasures. Young Friends of Save Venice has raised more than one million dollars for multiple restorations in Venice, including several paintings in the Accademia Galleries, the Doge’s Private Chapel in Palazzo Ducale, and treasury objects in Basilica San Marco. Current efforts are focused on the monumental restoration of the church of San Sebastiano.
