Save Venice Participates in 2026 Renaissance Society of America Conference

In late February, scholars from around the world gathered in San Francisco for the 2026 Renaissance Society of America conference. As an associate organization of RSA, Save Venice was proud to host four dynamic panel sessions exploring “Venice as the Holy City,” with presentations on Women Artists, The Female Presence, Religious Monuments and Orations, and Relics and Patronage, as well as a fifth session entitled “Titian: Biblical and Classical Reworkings.”

We are deeply grateful to all the participating scholars for their contributions, and we extend a special thank you to Save Venice board members Prof. Patricia Fortini Brown and Prof. Sarah Blake McHam for organizing these panels. Through conferences like these, Save Venice supports discoveries, fosters scholarship, and creates a vibrant forum for dialogue about the art and history of Venice.
