Special Event
Celebrating a Decade of the Rosand Library & Study Center
and the Legacy of David Rosand
Join us on June 18, 2025, as we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Rosand Library & Study Center and honor the enduring legacy of David Rosand (1938–2014)—pre-eminent art historian, dedicated Save Venice Board Member, and passionate advocate for Venice’s cultural heritage.
Founded in 2015 with the generous bequest of David Rosand’s personal library and research archive, the Rosand Library & Study Center continues to grow and flourish, reflecting David’s deep commitment to scholarship, restoration, and the city he loved so dearly.
We will gather for a conversation about the founding of the library, its ongoing impact, and David Rosand’s influence. A reception and toast to the future will follow.
Panelists will include scholars, conservators, editors, Rosand’s students, and Save Venice staff and members: Frederick Ilchman, Mary E. Frank, Giorgio Tagliaferro, Diane Bodart, Lorenzo Buonanno, Giulio Bono, Melissa Conn, and Leslie Contarini.
