Restoration Insights from Venice: Behind the Scenes in the Church of the Frari

In a rare event, art conservator Giulio Bono and Venice office Director Melissa Conn travel to New York from Venice to share their insider insights on Save Venice’s continuing conservation efforts in the Gothic basilica of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari. The Frari is home to some of the greatest masterpieces of Venetian art including Titian’s monumental altarpiece of the Assumption of the Virgin, currently undergoing conservation treatment funded through Save Venice and treated by Giulio Bono.
