Save Venice Chairman Frederick Ilchman and Melissa Conn, Director of the Venice office, will speak about the restoration of Tintoretto’s vast Crucifixion in the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. Ilchman will explain the art historical importance of this work and how it fits into the artist’s career and Venetian art more broadly, while Conn will describe the recent conservation campaign and what has been learned from it.
