Drawing from her recent biography Chasing Beauty: The Life of Isabella Stewart Gardner, Natalie Dykstra (Hope College emerita) will describe the ways in which Venice inspired Mrs. Gardner, the nature of her visits to the city, and the impact upon her own collection and Fenway palazzo.
