Young Friend Supporter+ members are invited to an evening showcasing new exhibition Je Marchais Pieds Nus Dans L’Étang by artist and designer Vincenzo de Cotiis at Carpenters Workshop Gallery. Guests are invited to see the installation before the gallery opens the exhibition to the public, and the artist will be present to speak on his artwork and his foundation, located in Venice, Italy. Reception to follow.
Vincenzo De Cotiis is one of the pioneers of contemporary collectible design. Born in 1958 in Italy, De Cotiis lives and works in Milan. His creations are born out of an assembly of recovered materials and reflective, futuristic surfaces and appear evocative in their final form of art and design that is not replicable. His work was presented at the Museo Franz Mayer, Mexico City, the Ca’d’Oro on the occasion of the Venice Art Biennale, and the Powerlong Art Museum in Shanghai. His installation art, Ode, will join the permanent collection of the FENIX Museum of Migration in Rotterdam in 2025. Selected pieces are available through Vincenzo De Cotiis Gallery in Milan, Carpenters Workshop Gallery in New York, London, and Paris, as well as at a leading global art and design fairs including Design Miami, Dubai Design Week, India Art Fair, PAD, TEFAF, The Armory Show, and Zona Maco.
*This event is an exclusive benefit for current Save Venice Young Friend Supporter ($250) members and above, and Young Friend Steering Committee members. If you received this email, you are eligible to attend. Invitation is non transferable.
