Installation funded in 1996 by Mrs. Phylis Fogelson in memory of James H. Fogelson.
In collaboration with the City of Venice, Save Venice commissioned two new Istrian stone benches for the center of the Campo del Ghetto Nuovo in response to a donation from Mrs. Phylis Fogelson and her desire to commemorate her husband James H. Fogelson.
The benches were installed beneath two of the tall trees that grace the square, inviting Venetian residents and travelers alike to enjoy a moment of rest in the shade as they admire the beauty of the historic Jewish quarter.
